Company History

Since its founding as Interface Products, Inc. in 1976, Interface Displays & Controls, Inc. has set its aim on providing custom solutions that meet our customer’s needs. Interface Products, founded in Santa Ana, California, initially designed and produced panels for the emerging aerospace industry and distinguished programs such as the Apollo Program.

During the next two decades, Interface continued to expand its products from panels and keyboards to fully integrated display and control units with a variety of communication interfaces, which range from RS-232 to MIL-STD-1553 and Ethernet. As technology, industry, and our customer needs evolve, our products continue to advance as we engineer design solutions to meet diverse requirements and applications.

In 1984, Interface moved to a modern 25,000-square-foot facility in Oceanside, California, north of San Diego, and continues to operate as a small, veteran-owned business concern.

On November 6, 2017, HEICO Corporation (NYSE: HEI.A and HEI) announced that its Radiant Power Corp. (“Radiant”) subsidiary acquired Interface Displays & Controls, Inc. (“IDC”) in an all cash transaction, which is HEICO’s fourth acquisition this year. Radiant is part of HEICO’s Electronic Technologies Group.  LINK
